About Longbridge Cash Plus

1. What is Longbridge Cash Plus?

After you activate the Cash Plus service, the idle fund will be automatically invested in money market funds to generate income, and the funds in Cash Plus can be used for trading stocks and options, CBBCs, as well as IPO subscription and funds purchasing. 2. How does Longbridge generate these returns?

Longbridge Securities' automatically invests your funds in the selected fund (Fullerton SGD Cash Fund A), aimed to offer stable and secure returns. You can learn more about the fund here.

3. How to calculate the return？

Idle cash that is received before 10:00 AM on SG trading day will be automatically placed into the Cash Plus facility on the same day (T). Otherwise, it will only be placed into Cash Plus facility on the next trading day (T+1).

The subscription unit will only be confirmed on the next business day after the subscription order has been placed. Once the unit is confirmed, Cash Plus return will be computed accordingly.

4. Are Cash Plus returns guaranteed?

No, Money Market Fund is not principal guaranteed. However, the investment mandate is strictly to preserve the fund’s principal value and maintain a high degree of liquidity while producing returns comparable to savings deposits. The money market funds invested is Fullerton SGD Cash A for SGD. The Money Market Fund invest in high quality, short-term instruments such as high quality government and corporate bonds, commercial bills and fixed deposits that mature in 397 days or less.

5. Can I redeem my MMF at units anytime?

Yes, you can redeem your MMF units anytime.

6. Is there a minimum deposit amount required to earn base interest? Why are my returns showing as $0?

For smaller deposit balances, the daily returns generated may be less than SGD 0.01, resulting in a displayed return of SGD 0.

Bonus Interest

1. What is bonus interest, and how long is it available?

The bonus interest is Longbridge’s incentive, offered on top of the base interest earned. It is exclusively available to new users referred by Atome. This bonus interest (+3% p.a.) applies to your first S$3,000 and is valid for up to 180 days. The 180-day period will begin 1-2 days after your first subscription to the Fullerton SGD Cash Fund A is confirmed. 

Please note that the bonus interest earned may be affected if there are any additional deposits or withdrawals made.

2. Are the bonus interest returns guaranteed?

Yes, the bonus interest rate of 3% p.a. is guaranteed on the first S$3,000 for the initial 180 days after your funds are successfully subscribed to the Fullerton SGD Cash Fund A. After the 180-day period, the bonus interest will end, but you will continue to earn base interest returns.

3. Can I withdraw the bonus interest at any time?

You will begin earning bonus interest 1-2 working days after your first subscription to the Fullerton SGD Cash Fund A is confirmed. The bonus interest will then credited to your account once every 30 days. Once credited, you can withdraw it at any time.

4. What happens if I close my Atome account?

Closing your Atome account will not affect your rewards! If you’ve participated in the Longbridge promotion (exclusive for Atome clients), you can still access your rewards. Simply download the Longbridge app and log in to your account to view them.

5. I deposited more than S$3,000. Why are my returns lower than the 3.25% p.a. rate?

The target return for amounts exceeding S$3,000 is 3.25% p.a., based on the yield-to-maturity of the underlying assets. However, daily returns may fluctuate due to market volatility.

Your return is calculated based on the Fullerton SGD Cash Fund A, considering the timing and size of your investments. Please note that the 3.25% p.a. target is not guaranteed. While the risk of capital loss is low, it is not zero. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.

6. When will I receive my interest earnings?

The moment you deposit funds into your account, your funds will be subscribed to the Fullerton SGD Cash Fund A on the next business day, provided the deposit is made before the daily cut-off time. Once the subscription is confirmed, you will begin earning returns, which can be viewed and tracked directly in the app.

Please note that any bonus interest earned will be credited and reflected in your account on a monthly basis, typically every 30 days.

7. Is the principal amount protected?

No, Longbridge’s Cash Plus facility does not guarantee capital preservation or interest. As with any investment, the value of the fund may fluctuate based on market conditions. We recommend reviewing the fund’s offering documents to understand how your principal is managed and the associated risks.

1. What is the minimum initial deposit, and is there a lock-in period?

The minimum initial deposit required for Longbridge Cash Plus facility is SGD 1, and there is no lock-in period for your funds. You are free to deposit and withdraw funds as needed without any restrictions.
